Description
The 21-year-old Dalmore is a masterpiece that’s taken years to attain its full potential. 21 years is a noted coming-of-age number, and with The Dalmore 21 Year Old, it’s a true coming-of-age single malt.
with just 1,200 bottles being supplied to the UK from a small 8,000 bottle release..
Its extra years of ageing are enfolded in fragrant sherry oak, which gives it a higher strength of 43.8%. They also imbue it with a sumptuously subtle complexity of flavor and aroma.
On the nose, savour the citrus sweetness of Sanguinello blood oranges from Seville, evolving into rich notes of bitter dark chocolate and roasted Colombian coffee and the warm scent of Madagascar vanilla pods.
On the palate, there’s sweet liquorice, black forest fruits, roast walnuts, and hints of Christmas cake marzipan.
The lingering finish provides layers of peach, ginseng, pear tarte tatin, and Sanguinello blood orange.
