Description
Laphroaig 33 Years The Ian Hunter Story Book 3
The Ian Hunter Story, Book 3 Scotch Whiskey, a 33-year-old non-chill altered whisky with creamy liquorice notes that has been fully matured in ex-Bourbon barrels to bring out Laphroaig’s characteristic peatiness and fight to protect the Kilbride Stream. This is a story of uncompromising guardianship and a battle between neighbors over every distillery’s essential lifeblood, its source of water.
Taste Notes
Colour: Deep copper
Nose: Pears, peaches then apricots and lots of condensed sweetness open this delicious and vintage Laphroaig up. Followed by notes of honey and rose petal, a dash of nutmeg, and finishing with ashy-dry peat
Finish: A very long nish with lingering, alternating ashy vanilla and peaty aromas.
Tastes: A sweet, syrupy, fruity mouthfeel to start, it climbs and coats the whole of your palate. It dips to a huge second wave of aniseed, followed by creamy liquorice notes.
